How to Make Google Form in Another Language

Languages are part of our regional identification and we converse in those languages spoken and written as well. There are different languages in the world. Google Forms do not limit us to only English when making surveys and questionnaires. We can make the form in other languages as well.

What are languages?

Why do we need another language in Google Forms?

Google Forms allow us to target any sort of audience and we can share our forms to different audiences in different countries. There are some countries where English is the least spoken or written language. We can’t share our forms to those people unless it’s in their own language.

The basic purpose of surveys and questionnaires is to collect information, if the audience doesn’t understand the question that kills the whole purpose of our form in the first place.

So, Google Forms allows us to make the form in another language other than English so we can elaborate to the desired respondent in their own language.

How to make Google Form in another language?

We learnt why we might need to make Google Form in another language. For making forms in another language, we need to be able to write in those languages first.

Add the keyboard input method

First of all, we will have to add the desired keyboard if we want to type in that language. To add the desired language keyboard in our PC keyboard, we need to follow the steps given below: 

Firstly, we go to Windows Start button as:

Thirdly, we navigate to Time & Language as:

Then, we can go to the Language tab from the side menu and add the required language using Add a language button.
 

Here, we will have to select our preferred language that we wish to add and download it. Let us demonstrate how you can install Español (Estados Unidos).

Once we have the language installed, we can switch between those keyboards from the keyboard icon in the taskbar or by clicking the identifier next to the keyboard icon.

Now we can type in the required language that we wish to use for our desired audience to mitigate the language barrier.

Login into Google Account

Google services have a precondition where users must be logged in in order to use the services of Google such as Google docs, Google Sheets & Google Forms, etc. We need to login into Google Account or Sign Up with a new account.

If we have a Google account already we login by going to forms.

If we are already logged in , we can see which account we are logged in with at the top right corner in the window.

Change the Google Forms language (if necessary)

There can be people who have problems with understanding English and if those pals need to use Google Forms, it can be challenging for those pals if they don’t understand where they are going. Google Forms made it easy for them by allowing language change in Google Forms so that they can understand where they are going. To change language of Google Forms, we need to follow the step given below:

We can navigate between some Google tools from here, now our objective is to change language. Let’s go to Settings.

As you see, we won’t see any drop down in settings about languages. We will need to click on English to allow Google Forms to navigate us to language settings where we can change the settings.

Clicking on English will take you to Google Language settings page from where you can change Language to your desired one.

Let us choose Espanol as:

Adding another language here is very simple. We just need to select language and region then select (example is below) and once it is added, we can change it to preferred language to get all google services and tools in that language by moving desired language up in preference. It will be effective when we refresh the page.

Create and Design the Google Form

Once we have set everything regarding the language, we can start with our form and add all required questions. Here, we will take a scenario of personality quiz for Spanish people and make questions in Spanish. We already added the keyboard and changed Google tools to Spanish. So let’s select an empty form (En blanco) and start with designing our form.

 
As you can see above, Google Forms has changed it´s language altogether except for old forms names. Templates are also in Spanish to ease the Spanish people using Google Forms. We have already learnt about personality quizzes in an earlier article so we will not repeat that much here, let us show you some questions.
