How to Use Templates for Google Forms [FREE Templates]

Google form holds a wide variety of services for users for creating their forms and questionnaires. Templates are just one of them. We can use the templates to create our Questionnaires, surveys, and form more easily in Google forms.

Step 2: Select template required for task at hand.
Different templates serve different purposes. Use the relevant template to your task. For instance, template for T-Shirt Sign up should only be used for T-shirt signup and similar purposes and so the party invite template should only be used for invitation. Also, contact information template has the purpose of gathering contact data of respondents and RSVP (Respond, if you may please) has its own purpose as well. Now, we will check out and use multiple templates for demonstration purposes below:

Event Registration Template in Google Forms

We have more form templates available in the template gallery which can be used according to our requirements. In the template gallery, we can see templates are placed according to sections. We will try to go through several of them. 

Let’s choose an event registration template. By its name, we can speculate that it will be about registration for events. This template is designed in a way to tackle most of universal needs and flexible enough to add and remove questions. New Google Form created by using Event Registration template looks like this:

In the given template, we can also see questions for dietary restrictions which is good to add because the audience can be lethargic to something that could be served at the event.

“Work” Gallery for Templates in Google Forms

Now, let us check the next section “Work”. We have six different form templates in this gallery, with each one representing different topics. Event feedback and customer feedback templates are similar but have different approaches. Order form is used to take orders along with requirements. “Work request” and “job application” are similar. Job application template  is used to get candidates and the work request template is used to assign work. Time off request is used for getting requests for days off from work, put in by an employee for a specific amount of time and for a specific reason.

The Order Form template is very well structured even without any editing. It can be used for small scale order placings as well as large scale. Users may modify the form by adding and removing questions or may use response validations, etc. Users can also edit descriptions to match their business credentials.

Firstly, the template shows questions for products. After that comes the buyer details. Buyer needs to enter his details to place an order.  The template does not ask for the address of the buyer for home delivery, so we can add that ourselves. We can see that only the phone number field is required as below:

The email field above was not mandatory to be filled, so we will make it required. The very last question given on template is for questions and comments which are driving factors of businesses.

Time Off Request Template in Google Forms

Now, we will check the time off request template. Time off request template offers great help for staff because time-off or vacation is something we all desire or need at times. This template provides almost all the information needed for a time-off request. Staff can ask for AM, PM and Full day leave after filling name and leave date. We can also add an employee identification number field as well as per or requirements. This way, employees can ask for leave. On the other hand, organization has a record of the leaves for all its employees as Google Form responses.
